Cycling Weekly magazine has classifieds. Why the aversion to ebay?

hippy Why the aversion to ebay?
Theres nothing wrong with Ebay, its probably the best way to get the most money. However, its such a souless place and just recently winners of my auctions have lived outside of where I said I'll post an item. So you end up mucking up, trying to be nice to the gits and invariably relisting.
And then Ebay and Papypal hive off a lot of that extra money in fees. I'd much prefer to sell to someone whose going to be happy with the bike, can ask questions, maybe even come and look at it before buying etc. I know its so bloody old-fashioned.

Not at all. I swapped the Miche cranks off Vegemite for a 1-man touring tent. I got the frame for a 6-pack in the first place. Ain't nothing wrong with the old fashioned bartering. Just curious is all.

More nursery shite
I feel ashamed for even bring up the geared bikes. But basically I have two road bikes (mid-level steel Lemonds - nothing fancy) that I need to sell.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of good places outside of Ebay and Gumtree to list them? Anyone had good success with anything else?
