I know nitto do a chrome-moly stem, dunno about bars though. You must have arms like a couple of traction engines! (now THAT, was a goal - steve coogan reference there....)

Do bears shit in the woods?
Do one-legged ducks swim in circles?
Does the pope pope?
Are priests paedophiles?
123 CroMo. You know it makes sense.

One pair might have been due to a crash the others seemed to be around the one year old mark, so I generally change them as soon as I start getting any creaking.
At 13 1/2 stone I guess the honking up hills does it pulling on the bars, I've been lucky so far twice over what was left of the bars and did a rolling breakfall Judo style no damage and one nasty bit of road rash on my backside after executing a lovely breakfall but still doing about 20mph on my arse.

Kowalski you are a star :)
I looked around the Nitto site aswell "DOH"
PS did you see Vanishing Point last Sunday night?
-

Indeed I am ;-P
Was it the the original or the Fakingshing Point?
I've watched it too many times, possibly the best £4.99 I ever spent.

It was the original with Barry Newman :)
My youngest daughter wasn't sleeping so I sat up with her and watched the film, the missus came down to see how we were and we all ended up in the garden at 3.30am watching the meteor shower :) -

Two Lane Black Top was a bit slow going compared to VP, how about The Driver with Ryan O'Neal

Never really rated it, but Two Lane Blacktop took a while to grow.Perhaps an eBay rummage is called for.
Lets just hope its Region 1 or 2.
Heaven forfend it's a movie "you have to read". Cheers Mrs K.

Vanishing Point has a lot more going on, but Two Lane Blacktop has the whole obsessive drag racing thing, which I guess might appeal to the sort of people here :)
You gotta love Super Soul...

yes, a move to oversize along with the deda bars will give you strength beyond strength.
(although it's stiffness from 31.8 really they reckon)
I'm hoping you'd been using these bars for a long long time, with many hard miles before they snapped?

yeah, steel doesn't suffer from "fatigue" so as long as you don't bend them in a gnarly crash, they'll last a fair bit!

I was talking about his alloy ones, ie: I'm 13 stone and don't want my alloy 123s snapping any time soon!

runcible rakan Steel seems to be the cheapest Nitto drops you can get.
Someone on another thread ordered Nitto bars from that seller. Dunno how he got on.
I have a Nitto seatpost on order too.
As it says do Nitto or anyone else for that matter make steel handlebars?
Having had three pairs snap and two stems break and another two pairs changed because they were starting to creak and crack, I want to try something a bit stronger.
I did e-mail Hubjub but no replies yet.
