Jalco rims?

Anyone know about these rims, looking to build a 27" wheelset for my old 27" track frame and this is the best thing I can find... Any good?
No 27" deep-Vs apparently... :-(

Know next to nothing about Jalco rims but did see you can get 'Deep-V' Jalco rims :)

Jalco provide (or have provided) rims some for Specialized, Scott, various BMX manufacturers amongst others. A lot of it the stuff you get on entry level bikes and the like.

So I'd imagine they not going to be anything fancy but should be decent(ish). Guaranteed to be better than many of the 27" rims that were made as they're a) not steel and b) have some kind of decent profile to them.

Other than that you do see a fair bit of NOS at bike jumbles etc if you're patient.

Yeah, those are the ones I was looking at... Just spoke to the 53-12 guys and they're gonna ask Velocity if they've got any 27" deep-Vs knocking around... Apparently they sometimes do...
This could be my only other option... Bit pricey tho', considering deep-Vs are £35 each!?

Those Deep-V Jalco rims are 40 quid a pop from St Johns and the least expensive box section ones are 30 quid (with no nipple eyelets and no customer word of mouth).

I wouldn't knock it if some 27" Deep-Vs turn up as you'll have a really solid foundation to build on.

If you're on a budget then your other option is the 2nd hand/NOS market. It may be worth asking Roberto (kind of the 2nd hand cool stuff market) if he has any.

Think you're right, gonna hold out for the deep-Vs... Good idea about Roberto, hadn't considered that... :-)

The Jalcos look pretty sweet on this Schwinn tho'... Mmm...
