  • hey i work for howies and we are currently designing two new bags for our range.
a courrier bag and a rucksack.
it be amazing if we could have some feedback of the kinda thing you want in a bag
we're talking anything no matter how crazy
    nice one folks

  • Left handed courier bags are real hard to get hold of despite more than one in ten people being left handed. Been meaning to start a thread on this.

  • Something not made in China, please!

  • Buffalo Bill Something not made in China, please!

Should not be from what I remember Howies started off in London with a couple of guy working part time and then a few year (3 -4-5?) ago moved to south west Wales, British made I think. Things may have changed though.

where people have talked about bags alot.

for a rucksac I would liek one like this by wig

Strapsto tie things on the outside. Also the main poket is big. It is all vey well having a 35 litre ruck sack made out of 3 comparments / pockets but it mean you can never fit a 35 litre item in the bag only an item at big as the largest pocket. I persnoal think you are better off wiht one big compartment with optional dividers and a couple of small pokets on the outside for wallets and keys e.t.c.

Looking at the label on my orange Howies sweat....

    oh look:

    "Made In China"

ok, I'll have a look in my Howies cardie....

    blimey:

    "Made In China"

    Oh, and my Howies gloves...

I think you're getting the idea now.

  • scott not scot patience people.....mine are almost there.....left swing and right swing.....

    You making those in China?

  • i have some howies clothing jeans t-shirts etc but now they have been brought out by timberland i may think again before buying any of their stuff, the association with 4x4 SUV driving, check shirted, fat yanks doesn't go well with eco-organic-environmentally aware cyclists.

my fave T is corporate wanker(with an arrow pointing) I wear it when i know i will have to use the tube, and try and sit next to a pink shirted gorm so the arrow is pointing at him.

Like I said from memory, I do not claim to be purfect.

    I only look it.:)

  • Oh, I'm def not buying anything 'Made In Scottishland"

  • Buffalo Bill Something not made in China, please!

    Why not?

  • Seems an over simplification. But fair enough, I don't know much about Timberland's sweatshops and I'm not about to talk about globalisation here!

I look forward to seeing them :-)

  • I use this to lug around all my camera kit, and love the attention to detail (i.e. all the bits and bobs) in that. Would love summat a bit bigger so and can get camera gear and jam in some extra stuff like clothes on top.

Left handed would be good, balance out my camera bag.

  • From howies? Something I could afford!

  • yeah a decent affordable messenger bag.
something that is a mix of a chrom/timbuk2/bagaboo/RELOAD!!!

    reloads stuff is tasty!

  • Refelective material somewhere on it (front and back) would be good.

  • yeah and a d-lock holder.
    zip pocket inside for valubles.
    key clip.
stabiliser strap. padding but not too bulky.

  • MrSmith my fave T is corporate wanker(with an arrow pointing) I wear it when i know i will have to use the tube, and try and sit next to a pink shirted gorm so the arrow is pointing at him.

    I need one of those!!!!

  • arrow pointing up though right?

  • Clips on the outside for grenades. Knife sheath. Bullet-proof material. The usual.. thanks.

  • photoben arrow pointing up though right?

    Down you mean! :)

  • I love the city with all its vibrant colour.. take me for example.. black shoes, black socks, black trousers, black shirt and black mood. I heart London City.

  • I have a Howies jacket that advertised how fast the fabric dried. "3x faster!!" the tag hollared at me. It talked all about wearing it in the wet. Turns out I was shafted. Yes, truth be told if you leave the jacket out wet it does seem to get dry (can't say I timed it), however if I wear it out in the rain I'm soaked in 15 minutes!!!!
Luckily I bought it on sale and not for the £100 and something they wanted for it originally!!!
    Bad Howies!! Bad! Bad!

To be fair it is thin and warm, longer in back for riding, and looks cute on me. ;-)
