Resounding 'NO'.
I don't need someone to explain to me a passion for bikes and cycling I've had generally since I could walk and 'FIXED' specifically for the past ten years.
Next someone will be briefing you on the joys of milk with your cereal.
I might go and check out the exhibition, but spare me the insights..

i thought it may be interesting as he designs stuff for nike so probably knows his shit.

Would you buy a bike from Nike ?
I am sure that the exhibition itself will be very interesting and I will probably learn a thing or two, plus there will be some nice bikes there to ogle over, I fully intend to visit.
I just don't believe a lecture by an 'expert' on a field I hold so dear is going to add much.
Incidentally, is there bike parking within the museum?(Seeing as it is a bike event) I don't want to leave my bike locked up outside. -

If it's in the Tank its just that glass box outside the Design Museum.
Move along, nothing much to see here....

Have any of you seen the Nike bike? It's ridiculous and not something I'd be keen to hear more about.
-
• #17
Snowflakes but, lol.

Actually the story behind that bike is a little bit interesting. Roxy it tells better than me. And some of the stuff that guy is up to is quite inspiring - like teaching kids how to build frames...
I'll probably go see what he has to say.(And John, good to hear the wrist is ok. When ya wanna meet up?)

I'd like to hear why he put Sugino Maxys (or whatever they are) on a supposedly bling bike :).
Mike - kinda busy this week and the weekend so maybe Tuseday next week?

I would be quite interested to see what he has got to say. You can't dismiss someone that easily. Is it worth £10? I guess you could only say that after hearing the lecture.

hey peoples, ben's a mate of mine who loves his bikes and is really good at what he does
i don't really see the need for the bitchyness lads, regardless of taste how many of you have gone out and taught yourself frame building from scratch?
and who really wouldn't (if they had been asked) build a bike for one of the biggest brands in the world? i can't think of a better way to get seen and get recognised. i would love to have influentual people paying me to do what i love!
by all means don't go but don't just winge. the geezer's bigging up the one thing us lot have in common
as for the "snowflake" business i like 'em in fact that's how i got to know ben (had my wheels built by the same dude after seeing ben's bike) they might not be standard but surely thats not what you lot strive for either nothing wrong with being different. if my wheels had collapsed after a couple of miles i'd agree with the form over function thing but as they're into the hundreds now inc' highgate i think there doing great
that's all for now i'm hungry
