Put newspaper in your shoes to dry them out. They'll soak up the water.

grandmother/eggs ;)
I do, but the uppers are still damp.
I'll have to fire up the heating

I'm tired of punctures. 5 in May.
FIVE!

Also sick of the rain, bahhh where did sunny April go?
-
• #6
yup, it sucks - having to put shoes on that were still damp from two days ago this morning wasn't nice
-
• #7
mine were still wet from the soaking you lot missed out on yesterday ;^)

velocity boy I'm tired of punctures. 5 in May.
FIVE!
Don't you mean "tyred"?!
Yup, me too - had to fix one this morning in the pissing rain - JOY. On the plus side, I've become damn quick at it. -
• #9
Yeah, I'm pretty quick at it too now. The one on the way to Brighton I did in very little time, I hope I didn't slow people too much at all.
Doesn't make them nice though. Nearly all of them have been because of debris, so new tyres each time.
I'm slowly moving to Michelin Krylion Carbons, from Michelin Pro2's. The Pro2's just have no fight to them, the damned things give up and puncture the first time you hit a screw or bolt. I'm down to just one Pro2 on the two bikes I use... just one more front flat on the fixie (currently singlespeed) and I'll have replaced all tyres on all bikes within two weeks.
This is proving expensive.

yeah, this weather is shit!!!
and on the tyre front, currently running gatorskins. pretty hardy thus far.

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darlin' it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darlin' it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darlin' the smiles returning to their faces
Little darlin' it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Little darlin' I feel the ice is slowly meltin'
Little darlin' it seems like years since it's been clear
Here come the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Here come the sun, here comes the sun
It's all right, it's all right -

Stop complaining about the weather......I'm confined to the feckin TUBE in this glorious wet and windy weather because my knees are shot to pieces and my doctor has ordered me to REST!! Bastard. Wish I was wet an cold an not scrunched in a miserable crowded hot and stationary hell hole with some fat-gits armpit in my face. And paying for the privilege.

• #14
you have a point there!
bad luck

• #15
It's still raining......
-
• #16

Started raining in Melbourne too now. Hopefully by june it will be sun in London.
David as for tyres, I have had gatorskins on for 4 months and no pop yet. Fingers crossed but you might want to give em a go. -
• #19
velocity boy: Those Michelins are race tyres yeah? They're not meant for riding around town on. Try some Vittoria Rubinos. Or is it just coz they is yellow? :)
My tyres are almost through the canvas and yet no p_nct_re. Must be due for one tonight then! How can you lot complain about the rain when you live in Lonond?!?!
-
• #20
London, not Manchester.
now if people in manchester complain about rain, then that is funny
-
• #21
I dunno, I grew up in the dessert. London may as well be Atlantis for the amount it rains here compared to home. I figured you'd all be used to it?
-
• #22
I have a very short memory
-
• #23
That's because with so much rain here it's like being a gold fish :)
-
• #24

London is pritty dry compeared to the rest of the Island.
The land needs the rain people the dry april has already causing problems with some crops.
It will be dry again soon.
anyone else getting a bit tired of being wetted upon?
I've sort of had enough already, the grease from my headset is now making it's filthy way down my forks and my shoes are taking too long to dry out.
bah.
on the plus side, it's fun for fish
