Look slightly gimmicky yet very functional, bright, and an 160 hour battery expectancy.
These are easy to remove as they stretch and will fit bars, seatpost, stays, and forks etc.
Picked 'em up from bricklane bikes recently and have been impressed so far. Can't imagine they'd outrun Cateyes but we'll see....

I have seen people use a good led tourch on the front and held on with a little bit of inner tube looped under the bars. Quick to get on and off and cheaper than a bike light of the same brightness.

the dinotte lights available through on one are niccccce. Look real smart.
The light and motion vega gets awesome reviews every time. I'm seriously considering it next time, because all the rechargeable batts are built into the light so you only have to remove a single unit.

Thanks for the tips. I think the frog has it. I'm mostly riding through lit areas at night, so it's less about lighting my path and more about being seen.
Which ones do you use? Any suggestions? Does anyone know of any good ones that aren't clip on, but have to be unscrewed completely to remove them?
With each bike I tend to get a new set, or at least a rear light because I'm too lazy to take them off. But I've never found a set that aren't fugly, mismatched or just plain tacky.
