Time ATAC pedals they are great! I have just switched to clipless pedals on my fixed wheel and ATAC were reccomended more than any other pedal to me - they are only £29 and I've had no problems whatsoever with them!

Look cleats are a pain if you need to walk anywhere.
Second the suggestion to try ATACs instead, much easier to walk in, go to punk shows in etcs and don't suffer from sudden pedal death issues.

remember you can't use spd cleats (time egbeater or shimano) on a smooth bottomed road shoe. well you can but the cleat will wear very quickly. you need touring or mtb shoes which have tread with a gap in the middle for the cleat.
times and a mtb shoe are what you need.road shoe:

i had shimano road shoes with look pedals, a dream as long s you stick to cycling...i switched to sidi and atacks because i gotta walk too.
i suggest mtb shoe+spds(beaters, atacks, shimano)work better on a daily basis -

Another vote here for mtb shoes n pedals.
Big fan of the Time Atac pedals. Started with the basic ones and now have the CXS.
I like them because they have a load of float in all directions.
Cleats don't wear very well with Sidis tho....
does anyone know anything about look cleats? im going to buy some Shimano SPD shoes with look cleats.should i avoid them on my fixed wheel??
