London Bike Polo Club

OK maybe I'm getting all nerdy and over-enthusiastic about this but here it goes..

we need a logo.
All other clubs have logos:

they're all quite classic and nice (I love the NBA one) - but I feel we need something different.

here is a try - we may get in trouble with a multinational corporation:

But we could do nice Polos:

oh and we need a blue plaque to put on the fence (where we hit the mallet after foot down):

This is my merino commuting / general riding / bike polo (if I get round to it) jersey. Some friends took a shine to it so there are twelve more being shipped over right now in the same colours with similar text. Not exactly bike polo specific, but I like it... ;)

Er, yeah - I ordered it before the site was up and running and thought London Singlespeed was a lot more snappy than something with the fixed gear reference in (though I actually ride a fixie). So by the time i discovered this gem of a website it was too late...

Just my point of view, but shouldn't we be concentrating on playing and just having fun first...This happened ones last sunday and now your talking about a league, jerseys and blue plaques. Maybe in half a year time come up with this stuff. The bike polo in south London didn't last for more than a couple of months last year.

I think this is just testament to enthusiasm.... I wouldn't worry :-)

your right jos,it was so good because it was just about having a laugh,we played with golf clubs and hockey sticks and i think that is the essence of it. i completly respect yorgo for his effort,its cool but we deffantly should stick to having a good time and not start regimenting it..
