i was working out wether it was easier to shrink me or stretch the frame... it is an understated thing of loveliness

Does the braze on the seat tube lug look messy to anyone else?

I don't know if it really is a Colnago. The clover leaf has been used by other companies than Colnago aswell.
But most important, the name Colnago isn't engraved anywhere (BB, seattube, etc) while this is usually the case. -

I agree - a lot of Colnagos have engravings (either Colnago or a clover leaf) on the seatstay caps and many have a clover or a C or both on the fork crown. In fact the fork crown doesn't look like a Colnago one at all.
