Wanted: 27" wheels single or pair, freewheel not fixed, Alloy rimed. Or just rims.

Well the title says it all. The g'units bike was taken from the tip and done up. All is well apart from the fact that the wheels are buckled badly even after work with a spoke key and the rims are steel and hence have a bad braking surface. Only need threading for a freewheel, may keep the five speed on it may make it single speed. Rims only also considered.

I have a set of never ridden Weinmann 27" wheels. They are for a screw on cassette at the rear, but I have an aluminium screw-on thing with a 16t 1/8 freewheel attached. does that help you out?

Yeah could be perfect, how much would you want for them?

£80 they have new tyres and inner tubes, never been used, and the 16t freewheel and adapter to put it on to the hub. I'd like to get rid of the lot; no point being stuck with tyres and tubes with no wheels.

Oh sorry compleatly forgot about this thread. Yeah sorry. I don't think you are asking too much for what they are but they are more / better than I need. Espechialy with the tyres and all. It is a good price really with tyres and freewheel. I am just trying to get my girlfriends ride not to have wibbaly wobbaly wheels.
If I where you I would consider buying a cheap hub like this

and relacing the rear wheel and sell the for someone doing a convertion or put them on a convertion yourself.

ok, cool, drop out space is 110mm on that hub u linked too - the bike I have that takes 27" is a 70s tourer with 132mm! That's a bit too much to ask for a 3oyr old frame to flex!
