  • Hi all,

I was just wondering, if someone has these special proprietary tools, i could really do with straightening my chainline, so can i borrow em?

    It's just i'm a little skint...

    Merci.

  • I do have the tool - where about in London are you?

  • or can i just jam my shimano one in?

p.s. any got a the bike biz cupon #

  • I have no idea - but they don't look the same! 11 dorrar? buy it!

  • I think the phil tool has 18 bits rather than 20.. answer = NO.
    sorry :-(
EDIT -I think the question you need to ask is 'Do I really need a Phil BB?' ;-)

  • It's different - and you only need one.

provenrad I think the question you need to ask is 'Do I really need a Phil BB?' ;-)

Does the pope shit in the woods? Everybody needs a Phil BB! It doesn't need to be new though - they come up from time to time on t'Bay.

  • alredy bought the tool.. oh well paid $14... bb is off the 'bay

  • Hey, my chainlines a bit out of whack and I was trying to find someone who has a phil BB tool and a bit of know how on how to use it, for beer or £

  • I've got both.
    Number in the appropriate thread.

  • phil tool for bottom bracket - any got one i can borrow? not right now but weekend or next week? near broadway market at night, duke of york, clerkenwell rd days and anywhere in between during commute...

  • 50 views and no one has a tool?

  • Maybe 50 other people need the tool too.

  • Thought it was a thread about a shiny new Phil Wood tool that would solve all my tool worries in one beautifully machined piece of metal . . . how disappointing!

  • Try here.

I'm guessing you wanted to borrow one for free but the tool isn't too expensive and you'll probably need it again at a later date anyways.

  • lpg had one that I think was Roberto's.

  • i have one its in SE1.

  • @el - knowing total cycling they probably wont hav eit in stock then leave me hanging for 2 weeks after cancelling my order for no reason then reopeing it again!

@donut you have phil wood bb issues? does your or your missus have it? should i be concerned?

  • Hi Everyone,

I need to pull out my Phil Wood bottom bracket to Framesaver my frame. Does anyone have one, or preferrably two, Phil Wood bottom bracket tools I could borrow for a day or two?

Given I'll need to remove, Framesaver and reinstall, it's not overly convenient for me to cart it down to the shop.

    Thanks,
    Eli

  • Why not buy the tool? You'll only need it again sometime.

  • True. I already have 3 bottom bracket tools, but you're right, I'll want it in a year's time.

  • Oooh... and when you've got it... would LOVE to borrow it.
    Just got me a PWBB.

    (that cheeky?)

  • i'm after the tool, anyone got one I could borrow, or use?

    thanks.

  • I haz Phil BB tools. Where you based?

  • Me too. SE1 innit.

  • I'm SW1(P to be precise) so if you wanna collect it during lunch or after work, PM me. I've got two.

LPG - you only need one, right?
Sharkstar - if you think you can do it with one you can borrow the other one...
