Yeah, jumping the train out to Elsenham and then cycling on up to Cambridge on Sunday. About 25 miles at a sedate pace as am going with a friend on a hybrid!
I can't wait.

How do you get from London to Cambridge by bicycle? Quickest way?

Well, I am cheating by getting the train to Elsenham, then am going to take this route.
If I was going to go the whole way, I'd probably head for Walthamstow and then onto Epping before turning north for Harlow and then Bishop's Stortford. Short hop from there to join the route above.
It's a ride I really want to get in before taking on the Dunwich this summer. As always, I'd be up for company...

Hell yeah, but we should blatently ride the whole way...

I totally agree, the shortening of the ride on Sunday is to make it tempting for Hybrid riding mate.
I'm definitely gonna use this place to try to get some rides together :-)

MrSmith:and there was me fretting over a 60 mile ride to tenterden the morning of the tour. 300k!
LOL :)Well I got round OK, a great ride with a fast start easy leg, only the last bit was a real slog with the hilly Ashdown Forest and relentless hills to Edenbridge in the heat of the afternoon.
Rolled in at 7.20pm for just under 16 1/2 hoursFull ride report over on ACF
Invicta 300 topic
Forgot to mention when I had my puncture at the start in the rush to get on the road I put the wheel in the other way round so I rode it on 46 x 17 instead of 46 x 18 -

i rode RPM's bike round in circles at a picnick, i then tried to trackstand after several beers. it's difficult and probably best attempted sober.
since the weekend is going to be soo hot and nice, is anyone heading out for a ride or going for a ride?
