38x14, 3/32. Why? Just the bits I could get hold of at the time. Planning to get a bigger ring at some point.
-
• #3
that's my reason too.
cost and convenience. -

47x16 1/8
I chose it because with a reasonable cadence it puts me at a nice speed. Big problem in thick traffic though, and steep hills aren't happy occasions. I've got a 17 on the way so that should make things easier, and I'll keep 16 for the freewheel side.

Road: 44x17 and an 1/8th.
Track: anything between 48x16 (Calshot) and 52x13 (roller racing). Mainly 1/8 with some cheap-ass 3/32 bits thrown in there. -

46x16 on one.
44x16 on the otherprefer 46x16 as it's much faster in london.

It's good for winning commuter sprints but now I'm road training again I really need to be resting more on my commutes, sooo..
Just got a new Condor 17T and now I feel happy combining it with the HubJub supplied 44T Stronglight Zicral and Interlock 2 chain for a 'dinner for two' 69 inches. -
• #20
"dinner for two" + 69 gear inches = hilarious

Glad you approve Hovis :) I certainly do ;)
But what's with the lack of Granary? High-Fibre White? Soy & Linseed?

Road: 46x17, 39x14
Distance: 46x15
1 in 4 Hillclimbs: 39x20
Off Road: 39x16 or 17.165s at the moment - mainly because I've stripped the crank removal thread on the left:-(
people shouldn't dig up old threads.
