I didn't get to take out an Ogre in the end, LBS figured they might as well just bring Part 3 (singlespeed Karate Monkey) with them rather than the Ogre and there was the added benefit for them of leaving me to clean up my own bike! I had no idea about this until I got to their house bright and early on Sunday, so it was a nice surprise that it was #newbikeday, beautiful weather and getting to go riding with them again.
Went out for the afternoon with them on the edge of the Pennines near Littleborough, skirting along bits of the Pennine Bridleway, ice-cream at Hollingworth Lake and other tracks, trails and a few muddy fields thrown in for good measure. It was great to go riding around this area as I've only ever been walking there with my grandparents as a child, brought back some good memories.
Tried to take a 'pro' release-snap-grab before it falls photo, I was at completely the wrong angle and had terrible timing behind the lens but here it is anyway...
Such a fun day out and a rather interesting creation in the background too...
