Possible debris seen just 100km off the coast of Ho Chi Minh City. SAR en route, could be 2-3 hours. In case anyone was interested.
Just as a sidenote, a lot of people making comparisons to AF447 (Air France that ditched), debris was found within 48 hours, but they tracked that aircraft down into the sea, it took 2 days due to drift in the time taken to reach them after the ditch.
In this case, they don't know what happened, it just disappeared at 35,000ft.
