Grand Budapest Hotel Secret Cinema was AWESOME! Yes it is expensive but the attention to detail was incredible, it was a totally magical experience, the actors milling around were great. The film is ace too, really fun and beautifully symmetrical. If you get a chance to go to the secret cinema showing do it, it is running until the 1st of April.
Magical film, very funny. Yes the films symmetry visually and within in its narrative added a depth to this mid European fantasy (that takes place in Zubrowska! Ha!). Looks brilliant with the models and puppety (like Svenkemeyer) blended in with the live action.
If you go to see this, hang around till the end of the credits for a treat!
^^^^I'm glad Goldblum's in The Grand Budapest Hotel as he's long overdue a smash, but all these multi-cast love-in's are wearing thinner than vehicles for Clooney and his chums.
Yes though this multi cast love in had such knowing references to each of the main actors earlier roles (often reversing a trait of an earlier film).
And now that you mention Goldblums ears falling off (and fingernails) in the Fly, Wes Anderson's genius is even more apparent.
