Rescue dogs

Oh and whilst I'm at it, everyone should get a Staffordshire Bull Terrier from a rescue. Best dog's ever, and there are thousands of them all over the country that need re-homing.

We just rescued one from a cage in a flat. Would probably have become a classic chav's dog if we hadn't but the family let us take her. She is great, and is really friendly. She loves being part of a big pack of dogs.
I do think you should find somewhere to let your dog have some time of the lead. They do need to be able to run and play and socialise. The sooner you do it the easier it is, and the better it is for the dog, in my opinion.
