The John Deere is rad, one of the best for a while.
edit: Makino just needs low profile rims and low flange hubs.

I also love BK's but their head tubes get really big in the larger sizes I wanted...thats why I ended up going for a leader on my steel quest...plus it was £100 new! That BK on ebay was going for a song when I last looked. Some upgrades...new wheelset, stem and saddle, which is so comfy but pretty fugly! SLR next?

Best leader ever, aside from the back to front seatpost and the droopy (but so comfortable) saddle

46x20 for the knee pains. Feels stupidly low at the moment.
Beautiful.
Hope your knee mends.

Your knee might need to freewheel negatio, I've just been riding my cx for past couple of weeks and have been able to get much more riding done with gears and brakes.

What seatpost is that? Thinking of switching on the hhsb and that fits the bill.

Ha! Mega LOL! Hadn't noticed at all. Rode the zonc for the last 2 days...absolutely pulverised my perineum...worst saddle so far. Was trying to install max flite, rushing whilst looking after a 3 month old...will focus next time! Can't believe you spotted that!

That Thunderstorm is just plain awesome.
So clean, wouldn't say it is HHSB as not flashy enough,

probably not too hard:
1200g - frame
300g - fork
300g - seatpost and saddle
250g - chode stem and risers
1000g - cranks, bb and chain
1300g - wheelsetplus 250g to be liquidated elsewhere

agreed, very plausible

dried wholewheat spaghetti for spokes
This needs yellow wheels, or it doesn't count as a John Deere.
