~~It is time for me to say goodbye to my Dahon fixed folder as I never really got around to use it much since I bought it in April 2013 (about 100km if that).
This was originally socialamnesia (http://www.lfgss.com/thread93062.html) then Eyebrows bought it and never used it (he still has the carry bag for it) so now it is time for a new owner.
On my first outing with it, I was cut by a van and merked the front wheel. I got the bike checked (all good) and the front wheel changed (all black). I have kept the 74mm front hub and silver spokes from the old wheel, I will pass them on for the new owner as spares.
I have upgraded a couple of parts on it in my ownership:
The bike is a fixed gear conversion (originally had a rear coaster brake), it is still in good condition, Goldtech 28 hole double fixed at the back, Profile Airwing Bullhorn bars.
Gearing is 53 x 15 on 20" wheels so that's 65.1 GI, perfect for the city.
Equipment wise, Sugino R2D 130BCD, 53T 3/32 chainring with plastic chainguard, 15T Miche 3/32 sprocket with carrier, Sugino NJS lockring. Izumi stainless stell chain.
Front brake pads, tyres, chainring, chain, sprocket are all in good working order. I have regreased the headset which works fine but would still recommend upgrading to a sealed one (£20) as this is a common modification.
I have re-tightenend all the folding mechanisms and it rides really nicely no creaks or play.
I will clean the bike before pick up but the photos are representative of the condition.
Size wise, photos show my set up at 5ft11 and 32" legs. Dahon website says one size fits all. I would say people over 6ft1 need not apply (unless you install a Cane Creek Thudbuster).
I paid £200 from Eyebrows without pedals, I since added a couple of decent parts on it so I will be looking for £200 -> £190 back.
The bike is in Brixton, come for a test ride, it's a great bike to ride!
