Great fun and strangely of the 4 people who did the entire thing 3 people completed without a puncture whilst the other had about 5.
We cheated and had a support van which helped immensely when you got wet and / or hungry and meant you did not have to carry all your provisions.
The Highlands were really nice (stayed in Glencoe) as was the Wye Valley and the Lake District.

By the way, there are few enterprising folks who provide a taxi service back to inverness - people carriers with a bike rack. Saves a night in JoG and you can get the train home first thing next day.
You will need to book this well in advance as it's a popular choice.

I did the RAB 2013 (JOGLE) and can't recommend it enough, obviosuly £1700 is pricey but if you can generate sponsorship then that can cover it.
But the route was excellent, especially Forest of Dean, Fort William and the rolling, rolling, rolling hills of the south West.

Day3-4
The Ludlow Brewing Company have a decent tap room - local pork pie & snacks, soft drinks, coffee as well as beer, and is cycle friendly.

I'd come down from the hills and be supportive (you're passing within a couple of miles on day 4) but I'll be in Yorkshire for most of the (school) summer holidays. -

I have done LEJOG twice. Once with another friend (but supported) and once with Ride Across Britain in 2012. I was working at Deloitte at the time and was lucky enough to get a sponsored place. Here is the blog for my first ride in 2008.
Both were incredible experiences, though I found RAB physically less demanding, the route was just epic and some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen anywhere in the world was in the Scottish Highlands.
I can send you the GPX files if you wish for the RAB route. Though I can see you have plotted it already.
Any questions, please just shout.
Ha, my route is plotted on the 2012 RAB route. My files only differ a mile or so at each end to route from the golf/race course etc to my chosen accommodation. Glad you enjoyed the route.

Cool photos and looks like you raised a decent ammount of money too!
Was considering the option of a lift back to Inverness but it's a bit to spendy for my liking.Day3-4

It takes quite a bit of organising but it's a cracking trip and we'll worth the effort.
If you have any other questions just shout.
