• For sale: A Vicini track frame in Columbus Steel (not sure which type) circa late 70s/early 80's I think.

    Seat tube - 59cm ctc
    Top tube - 57cm ctc
Includes Stronglight A9 headset and Miche BB.
    The forks are undrilled.

I bought this frame about 6 years ago from a guy in Italy. It was in a bit of a state but looked sound when I first inspected it.
Some months later when I had the frame powder coated I noticed a very slight bump under the top tube which more than likely indicates it had some kind of front on impact at some point in its past. As a result the angle of the head tube is very slightly steeper than it should be (about 1-2 mm I'd say). Which in turn means the clearance of front tyre and down tube is very tight (almost too tight for 23mm, I used to run 20mm on the front which worked fine).

Having discovered this problem initially I was a bit concerned about the frames structural integrity and posted about it on here. Opinions varied (obviously!) but I ended up just riding the frame on my daily commute for about 4 years without any problems.

I loved riding it but its been sitting in my basement for the last 6 months and I need to make space. Obviously it has it its flaws (hence the price) but its still a decent ride.
