To be fair, it usually take a little more than 2,000 miles to wear out the drivetrain, as the chain usually the first to start at around 1,500-2,000 (unless you literally pour mud and coke on it), so good timing Fox!
IMHO, it's never worth getting the expensive chain, as they all wear out in the end.
