  • Very nice build man. It could be worth getting some bullhorns for messing with different setups, I think it would look even better but that's just my opinion!

  • Is the Bianchi Super Pista frameset still unavailable in the UK

  • I don't think it ever was

  • BONER Thanks.
Just wondered if Bianchi had decided to market the Super Pista frame in the UK as well as the US. A quick call to a UK dealer confirms it's for the US market only :-(

  • Looks ace, lovely build.

  • BONER Thanks.

Nothing stopping you from getting one if you really want it.

Or just get a Dolan Precursa, same difference.

  • remove the decals first, then buy a seatpost without setback.

Well you seemed insistant on having the saddle close to the BB, which make the seatback seatpost redundant.

    Got mine here:
    http://www.store.superbbicycle.com/product/2013-bianchi-super-pista-celeste-frame-with-black-lettering-and-celeste-carbon-fiber-fork

$799 + shipping...though I managed to get it when they had a sale...think it was $599...so worth holding out if you can.

  • Nice bike there. Maybe I would prefer a black bar tape. Have fun with that!

  • beautiful bianchi

  • Sweet build!

  • This bike looks great! Nice job!

  • Looks sweet! I'll hopefully be building up one of these in the next month or so...

Quick question on the BB (and I also have some 2012 Miche Primato cranks); am I right in thinking that I'll be after English thread, JIS, 68-111mm?

  • can't figure out how to edit - but hub is a Halo aerorage if it helps...

  • Threading depends on the threading in the frame. 2012 were ISO taper (I think – might want to check that), they recommended 107mm but everyone uses 111mm campag, token or one of these after destroying Miche BBs.

  • I thought everyone was building functional bikes these days.

You damn kids, making me feel old and lame.

  • Thanks, I have a Tifosi on my current frameset (with the Miche cranks) which has lasted a fair few years now, so may well go that route again.

Re the threading - presume all Super Pista's have the same direction?
I remember reading somewhere that the SP's aren't actually Italian threaded after all but I guess I'll wait to see when it arrives.

Been ogling one of these beauties for a few years now, can't wait to start the build!

  • Nice machine!

  • What crank length are you using Rolyateel? I've purchased a Campag bottom bracket (111mm) with Campag Record cranks (170mm) but there is very little room between the crank arm and rear stay and was wondering if you have the same problem?

  • Just try a slightly wider bottom bracket

  • Just try a slightly wider bottom bracket

Yep, I think the BB was 110mm width
