  • I'm going vegan for the month of March with a house mate. Are reasons are different as his is to test for cardiorespiratory improvements while I might make it permanent for Karmic reasons.

I'd appreciate suggestions for vegan friendly coffee shops. I don't mean soy milk lattes as I'm a black coffee, no sugar guy. But, I do like me some cake.

    • nude espresso in soho square do a few vegan treats - try the peanut butter cookies (#biased)

    • milk bar on bateman street used to do the most bonkers vegan french toast (excellent for sunday mornings) but since the ownership changed i think this place has 1) gone down the pan and 2) they may not offer this any more - give it a shot though. (#biased) (i also have their vegan french toast recipe if you want it and i made it last week if you want a picture)

    • if you're in brixton go to ms cupcake for a cookie/cake/anything and then toddle over to federation coffee or blue turtle oasis (i think federation do one vegan thing, possibly, but ms cupcake is better) (#exceptionallybiased)

    • if you're in hackney, e5 bakehouse use nude espr beans and have some vegan cake/cookie options (#biased) and happy kitchen up the road (vegan bakery) might still be open

    • there's a turkish delight/chocolate shop just round the corner from kinono/daily goods some of whose truffles are accidentally vegan. i'm definitely guilty of getting some truffles and going round to daily goods for a coffee (xsvcx and i did it recently haha)

i'm hardly au fait with every single coffee shop in london's vegan options (i'd happily expand my knowledge through praxis though if anyone wants to make a regular thing of it!) but tell me which coffee shops you normally go to/which area you're based in and i'm sure i can help >^.^<
