I know what you mean. I'm just saying no because I reckon I've tried that sort of thing in the past (not exactly the same, but some shared components/ requirements to partially rebuild for different uses) and it was a massive pain.
My conclusion was that there is a lot of value in a build. I reckon there are parallels to the reason that often, as bike appreciators, we 'get a build rolling' using parts bin bits.
TL;DR - build it up with cheap stuff so it rolls. And switch nice parts between bikes if you can really be bothered.
