Sirens and Lights are not direction from plod to RLJ. If one is in front of you, waving or telling you to go through, that would be instruction.
MET are are trained that RED means stop, AMBER means stop unless that would be unsafe, GREEN means your right of way. Accelerating to go through on AMBER before the RED = ticket.
