  • Froch was going to stop him with 3 rounds in my opinion, but it was clear the ref was bias. He let froch land late shots 3 times, and groves once.

Groves does get tired late e.g. VS James Degale so I do feel froch would have got him.

Pacquiao VS Rios should be just as exciting. Same stream guys or

around about 3-5 AM at a guess. I never know when it was on

  • boxing can stop now. The great Vitali has stepped down to focus on his political career

  • Froch V Groves rematch May 31st confirmed.

Hopefully no premature stop this time.

  • Excellent, the first scrap was entertaining.

In other news, looks like Khan has pretty much secured the Floyd fight.....sigh

  • Really? Yesterday I read that the uncle Roger said it would be Maidana.

Excited about the Froch vs. Groves II fight.

  • Old Trafford or the Emirates as venue. Pity it'll be on pay-per-view.

  • Groves will not fight at either I reckon. He's a Hammersmith boy, Stamford Bridge or GTFO.

Or were you referring to the Mayweather fight?

  • Ha, yes, Groves vs Froch, from the BBC report. I'm old enough to remember the old Eubank v Benn, and Eubank v Watson fights. Pity you don't get occasions, with mass audiences, like that any more.

  • Really? Yesterday I read that the uncle Roger said it would be Maidana.

Awesome, I was just going off the result off the poll. I hope it is Maidana, khan doesn't deserve it.

  • I reckon this groves and froch could attract the kind of attention as eubank and ben.
Ashame none of em have Eubank's charisma

As for Mayweather v Khan this will just be another notch on mayweather's ringpost.

  • Jaw you was right, Mayweather v Maidana has been confirmed for May 3rd. Looking like a good month for boxing.

  • Can't see Mayweather getting into any trouble against Maidana. Wonder how short the odds will be for a Mayweather unanimous decision.

Froch-Groves is heating up nicely. Froch confirming the City Ground and Groves saying that no venues has been agreed upon. Twatter makes life one big press conference these days. Imagine if Ali in his pomp had access to it.

  • Maidana is an easy fight. He won't even win one round. Too flat footed, too slow and his power won't trouble May at all.

If you land on Khan, Morales, Broner etc... All flush and can't KO them, you have no chance vs a man who plus negative ratio (accuracy of him and his opponents) is the best.

Alexander showed how to deal with Maidana by schooling him.

Khan would have lost but at least he would pose some issues and Khan is someone who has always won 5 rounds in the fights he doesn't get stopped.

However both are poor fights and show that the feud between Gbp and top rank is a joke.

The only. Fights I'm interested in are May vs Pac, Bradley and sergio Martinez. If may wants a new division title go to 160, people are waiting such as Ggg.

  • Talk is that Khan will be his next opponent providing he wins his next fight. I quite like Khan. This whole glass chin makes his fights that little more exciting.
Sadly the Pacman vs Mayweather fight will never happen and it's probably for the best as I think that it would probably 4 years too late for Manny if it does happen.

  • ^Agreed, Maidana won't win a round and then Floyd will get slack for choosing him.

  • Minhdinh - your not even excited at pacquiao v bradley pt II ?

A lot of people are interested in may v pac but never gonna happen now. Mayweather has too many excuses now e.g. He lost to a fighter i schooled (marquez).

Furthermore there are some potential good fights for the future. Deontay wilder (mr Ko himself) might get to fight Wladmir Klitchsko. So we can have a champion who's actually worthy. Providing he wins the vacant WBA title.

  • Not that it is Mayweather 's fault but he is simply too good. If anyone watches F1 or Motogp, it's like casey stoner being too far ahead or Michael Schumacher.

Khan has plenty of flaws but he gives it a go and even if he got knocked out, it will be exciting. Maidana is like guererro and Canelo, it will be boring. In fact maidana is worse than them when I think about it. Adrien Broner is a Cocky guy but never good at 147 lbs. He associated himself as Mayweather younger brother but no where near the skills. Probably only reason maidana got the fight.

  • What's with all the Klitschko hatred? At least for the last 10 years they haven't really ducked a single fight. Heavyweight division is short of worthy opponents, not exactly their fault is it?

  • Oh yeah I am. I was referring to Mayweather fights.

Pac Bradley 2 is intriguing. Both have points to prove. Bradley because no one felt he won and Pac because he lost on the cards and got Knocked out.

Mayweather has 4 fights left on showtime for his guarantee purses. Maidana is one so 3 left. Imo pac can still be in there. There's No one else that generates the money they could, but also the attraction. I don't think khan or maidana really appeal.

I always go boxer over brawler in a rematch if it was close, but I still have pac winning maybe 7 rounds to 5. Bradley will box more but pac will be able to catch him and because he hits much harder in terms of how it affects the opponent, I expect him to edge each round.

Wilder is facing malik Scott who Chisora beat. Scott has skills and wilder has truly faced bums. If he wins a great fight, then good for hom
wlad destroys him though, wilder has no defence and his chin is shakey. Just wait ;)

Facing under matched opponents always makes someone look better than what they are. Let's see his power and defence when he steps up.

  • Its not a hatred its the boring aspect, like you said non worthy opponents its just not exciting enough. I just think deontay wilder would bring the excitement back to the heavyweight div. his record is 30-0 all KO's. (Despite em being bums)

  • I liked vitali. More exciting to me. Wish him the best in the Ukraine. I'm sure he will hold a high position like prime minister.

Wlad however I find boring. Very good fighter, strong, athletic but hugs a bit too much and is very wary of getting hit. I can understand why people dislike him as a boxer, but that doesn't mean he's bad.

People want drama like Ali and tyson. I kind of do too, a charismatic guy in an outrageous way.

  • Froch vs. Groves confirmed at Wembley on 31st May. Let's hope it's going to live up to expectations. Tickets go on sale on Monday. Cheapest tickets are rumoured to be £30 + booking fees.
