For Sale: Raleigh Record Sprint Reynolds 501 58cm C-C

Black Reynolds 501frame with paint in VGC for age.
58cm C-C seat tube and 56cm C-C top tube.
Suntour front derailleur still installed.
Fork tubing not indicated. Original stickers.
With Suntour shift levers (right indexed 7-spd)
Tange headset (seems fine, but top cup was painted black and needs touchup).
BB very rough assume it needs replacing.
Rear derailleur mount. 128mm OLD.
F&R black Weinmann single-pivot sidepull brakes.
£50 plus postage or pick up central London (Paddington area).

Sorry we didn't come back to you yesterday. We have just finished a project to rebuild a Raleigh Alpha Sport and we would love to do another one - your frame looks just the job for us. We don't feel quite ready to start yet. When we are, we will contact you and see whether you still have it (someone else may snap it up), or then whether we can persuade you to bring it out of the loft.

That's just masking tape - I have quite a few frames and write the basic tube dimensions on masking tape for easy reference. I try to buy bikes in my size but I've learned that many people are not very good at measuring :-)

For anyone still interested in this frame, note it's in W Berks (about an hour by train from Paddington) and can be collected or I can meet a confirmed buyer at Paddington.

However, I'm only into London once a week or so and that's on my mid-week schedule. The cost of train travel and the hassle of dragging the frame around precludes any window-shopping or tyre-kicking - happy to send extra photos.

501 main tubes, decent fork, both brakes, FD, indexed shifter, decent headset, nice metal headbadge, VG original condition...
