I would like to confirm that these DO work with cable ties and in fact provide a better hold with less moving around than the rubber. This is how I have run them over the past 2 winters. It just means that the ties have to be cut to remove the guards and then replaced for re-fitment.
Regardless, the rubbers are available elsewhere and these are still for sale @£15 posted.
