Did my first ever swim in a public session yesterday, people's interpretations of what a slow, medium and fast lanes are hilarious, as are there versions of swim clockwise!
Also the staff at the pool confidently told me it was 25m long, which if true I've got a lot better at swimming, turns out it was 20m!
