A mate got arrested a while back for being too drunk to enter a football ground. He wasn't, even with the officers at the station and the nurse saying he wasn't drunk it still went to court (the cps and police hadn't reviewed the evidence) The arresting officer changed his story about 3 times under questioning and after seeing cctv, his two supporting officers said he wasn't drunk and had to clarify why they were arresting him. It was swiftly chucked out... as such wasting everyone's time including mine as I was there as witness.
