A P2M wouldnt be a bad choose for this. If you can workout a chainring combo you're happy with for both, it'd be a breeze. Swapping chainrings adds like 10mins I guess.
Internet wisdom seems to say its one of the most weatherproof PMs out there. So another plus for CX use.
This may just be me. But I was pretty happy to here I could ditch my cadence sensor with the P2M too. I've lost several magnets, and trashed a few sensors. If I was racing CX, I'd go through them quicker than tyres.
....Not if hes running tubs.
