Thanks guys. I don't want to give up on this. I've been trying to find as much info as possible. We may even be able to setup the money as an interest free loan with repayment plan if that makes anything clearer.
I think the main stumbling block is that the money is coming from overseas and this is seen as a risk to mortgage lenders.
