Re above issue on ex LA flat purchase, Our flat in Camden is ex LA, have works been done and this is the invoice or is it start of consultation about intention to do works? if latter then sellor will argue that price agreed reflects condition of building ie poor ? and hence your cost, if works done then more like his liability, but at the end of day it's a flat purchase so the negotiating isn't done til you sign. If he doesn't sell then his cost anyway and back to trying to sell with scaffolding etc. I'd also want to know was work done properly needed etc. is it a big block of flats or converted house. Some of the ex LA blocks have huge hidden liabilities given lack of works in past, some of the ones in Camden are £30-40k per flat
