We've essentially told them that. And the estate agent has given us a name of someone in Lambeth Living. Our solicitor has addressed our questions to them directly.
The questions we've asked are:
who is responsible for this 17k bill?
when does it need to be paid by?
can it be paid in installments?
will it affect the transfer of the registration etc?
their solicitor didn't answer any of them. In a phone conversation their response was "i don't know". Not "you don't need to know".
I don't think it's our solicitor being overly pedantic.
Note: I am overly pedantic.
