The hardware on the SRAM Red calipers is titanium, but the arms are still made of aluminium. So yes, anodising will work. Whether it would be a good idea is another question.

Well I have a black matt frame, the gold chain works really well with it - reckon gold brakes would look the business too..

It'd look terrible, don't do it.
Gold chains are ok as there is a functional reason for it (The Ti coating).
Gold anything else on a bike looks very Savile.

Ignore them. Do it. Take the brakes apart and take them to your local anodiser to get them goldie lookin

if you really want gold calipers is it not easier to pop along to BLB rather then destroy a set of Sram Red calipers?

That might just be the best option, Oswald. I'll pop in and have a look.

Other alternatives I can recall are KCNC or Far and Near callipers .. The Ruegamer in this pic has KCNC fitted but having used them I wouldn't recommend them if your solid build ..

John Player's Special
or planet-x brakes in gold?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/gobike88-MR-CONTROL-AL6066-C-Brake-Calipers-for-Road-Bike-Gold-G78-/161038332687?pt=US_Brakes&hash=item257ea1f30fI wouldn't anodise those red calipers :) later you could regret it..
I want to turn my silver looking titanium SRAM red brake callipers gold...
Is this possible and a way to do this? Eg. Will an anodyzation process work?
