I have the old 1125r, £7000 new, with about £750 worth of tuning it weighs less than that and puts out about the same power. So I won't be upgrading.
It does look bloody lovely though. -

Quite tempted by this. It's 8 years younger and 20k less miles than my ZXR 400, yet pretty much the same value. #freeupgrade?

Keep the 4 it is better that the gixxer.
Bikes wet in the photo, marks on the short can marks on can. Has the bike been jetted for the can and your 4 is worth more.

It does look bloody lovely though.I bought a new buell lightening just after they stopped making them ragged it for 7 months and 5,000 miles and sold it for more than it cost inc fuel and insurance to some bloke in germany. Then followed it with the 12 and did the same, scary thing the 9 is better.

Know a cheap trx850...yama parallel twin with a funny crank offset.

Why? Those 600s are a gas.
TRX850s sound nice but are not especially quick, are heavy and don't like to turn.

The only bad thing that happened on my CBT was that I turned up an hour early, desperate for a dump, and only a Co-Op was open, had to buy some bog rolls and shit in a hedge

Fuuuuuuuuuuu…..
New battery in this morning and it seemed to have cured the issues I was having with tickover and my rev counter.
Rode to work, it was running sweet, rode about 75% of the way home the same then stopped at lights and was engulfed in a cloud of horrible tasting/smelling smokey steam.
Coolant leak. All over the exhaust and engine casing.
Just spent 20 minutes sat in garage with it waiting for it to cool down and stop steaming/smoking before I was happy to leave it.
