check the wheel bearings nic
had this issue once, was so sure it was the headset messed up a nice one trying to tighten it and also a stem
turned out the roller bearings needed renewing in the hub -

With the front brake jammed on, grasp the bottom of the steerer and the fork crown; rock the bike back and forth: you'll be able to feel any movement of the fork.
If there is movement and the headset is tight, I'd disassemble and check for damage to the races or bearings.
Hello guys, anychance of some advice please...
With the front brake engaged there is a noticable movement of the steerer fork when pushing forward. In general the steerer is quite loose.
My limited knowledge suggests tightening the nuts top and bottom of the headset but these are already tight...
Any ideas what the solution could be?
