Pretty sure the v1 is plain gauge BMX-style 4130 and the v2 is True Temper double-butted 4130.
Could be wrong though!
The welds on the v2 also seem a lot smaller and neater which might suggest this. That said, in the picture above, they look exactly the fucking same haha.
I actually think the v1 and v2 are equally as nice through their differences. But then I would say that!
