I really didn't want to post up here but I've been left no other option really....
I purchased a set of wheels from a frequent poster 'on here' who has a lot of rep. I met him to buy the wheels and he seemed like a nice enough guy. On inspection by my LBS, however, it transpired that the front wheel needs a complete rebuild due to the hub being bent out of shape.
I contacted the seller who agreed that he would purchase them back off me - this was in late October / early Nov. I've been patient waiting for this to take place as I'm aware that the sum of money that I paid wasn't inconsequential.
It's now mid-February and the seller hasn't been in touch with me since early December, and I'd go as far to say that he is actively trying to avoid resolving this issue as I've recently texted, tried to call, pm'd and posted on his member page (which has since been taken down).
I think I've been patient - I've waited a few months, avoided naming publicly, refrained from posting in the frequent sales threads that he has placed on this forum, and given him another option of paying for repairs rather than buying back the whole set and have a surplus, broken pair of wheels sitting about.
I'm posting this here to get any opinions from other forum members about other ways to resolve this. And in the hope that he might read this and do the right thing.
