Here's a photo of the bike, I can't seem to tell if it'll handle a bike rack, the guy is in Dartford and don't want to go all the way there or have him come all the way into Central if it doesn't have rack mounts. Can anyone advise?

Why don't you call him on the mobile number provided and ask?

It doesn't, but you can just use p-clip instead as it does have a mudguard mount.

P-clips that's what they're called! can these only be used on bikes with mudguard mounts? or can these be used on any bikes? is there less weight allowed on racks with p-clip mounts?

With mudguard mount, p-clips work just fine (if not better - protect the frame if it fall).

Thank you Edscoble - good to know pclips will work ... even with a heavy pannier bag.
If I have pclips with the rack, can I still attach mud guards or is it either/or?

You'll need to attach the mudguard stays and the rack supports at the same point on the frame is all. Mudguard stays will go on the inside more easily. Might have to bend the rack mounts a bit, and use a longer bolt.

I was able to mount both on my steel racing bike. Clearance might be tight though.
I had rack holes on the dropouts so it was easier.

I actually had to use spacers as the rack bolts where too long and the right one was hitting on the smaller cog.
It depends on the combination of rack/mudguards you use.
Hi does anyone know if the cannondale synapse 2011 sora edition has holes in the frame for rack mounts? Need to use panniers and thinking if this bike will be ok Thanks
