skids are for kids.

If it were skid resistant, you wouldn't be skidding.

If you burn through tyres more than Boris jumping red light, you're doing it wrong.

Again, I said 'Most' skid resistant, not so absolutely skid resistant to the degree that it
dis-allows any skidding at all...(which I'm sure is impossible anyway)

Maybe i should have added a little back-story...
I'm currently in the process of building my first fixed gear bike. I will be running a front brake before any asks, and I was asking for the 'most' skid resistant tyre available in the forums opinion; not because I will be skidding non-stop, left, right and centre, but because I will be skidding occaisonally and with my very tight budget constraints I thought the longest lasting tyre would be the most economical option :)

You can easily do that with a cheap tyres, just learn how to control your speed instead.

Continental Gator Hardshells, preferably in 25 or 28c if you can fit them in your frame. I can get three months out of one riding without brakes in a reasonably hilly city.

From the tyres i tested, Continental SuperSport Plus are the more durable, using in a sligthy hilly city + sporadics trips (min. 100 km), for the moment resist 3 months, and i calculate will ride 2 weeks more, and you can find it under the conintental price easily (coninental price: arround 38 €, retail price: 22 €)

Try wiping down your tyres with diesel before every ride. You'll skid further that way and they'll wear out slower.
