    I found RX-1s and Sylvans extremely uncomfortable because the end plates are raised significantly above the level of the pedal body - they're designed for trackies with stiff soles, not skidrahs with vans.

    GR-9's are nice, but too slim on my huge meat-plate feet.
    The White Industries Urban pedals are nice, but as TM said, absolute nonsense in the wet.

    Retraps/Hold Fasts and big, broad BMX pedals are probably the comfiest / most secure non-clipless system, to be perfectly honest. I don't like the look of them, but then again I am clip less 4 life and don't give a care.
