Any idea what bar setup this bike was intended to have, Tom? Not that I'm suggesting a resto job you understand

That white one is just someone's project, it's alright but I'm not that blown away to be honest. I think the DT logos look lost, and building a bike to replicate your favourite car can >>>>>>>
There aren't many examples ont web, to me it seems like the majority were set up in pursuit/TT mode. Like modern track frames though, they may have seen a variety of bar setups to suit different events.

Good to see them still being used on the track too....
Other similar builds from the era...Me, I think the Ergostem/LA84 combo suits it perfectly, I've bought another Ergo to replace the broken yellow one, a black ahead, I plan on mergin the two into a yellow/black quill ergo.
It has always been the plan to slowly build it into a period correct-ish bike, I keep the risers on though as I enjoy riding it with them on. It really needs repainting, I'd like to get it done the same sparkly black as the stem one day, but that's going to be expensive...
Cheers HMA for the seatpost.
Also, ultimate bar choice?
Personally, maybe aside from Badman's, I like mine the best. Just need to sort out the rear wheel situation and pick up the new stem.
If I were a rich man, I'd be buying some Sugino carbon/aero cranks.

Class. Yeah, definitely looks best with the black quill. Maybe some plain black NITTO drops (can never remember their numeric names) and it'd be a finished article. May as well keep it with the risers.
Thanks also to B0N0R for the incredibly insightful response.

Nope, a special one off built for him iirc... based on the Cougar though.
He's had some top sleds in his time...

Most of the bikes you posted have track drops

^ who Laner?

Look at the first pic of the challenger disc, i think he has dropped the disc without any tire on, not good considering the weight of the wheel,

Yup, might be a dent there.
They are just painted black, I may strip the paint...!
