That rear triangle is the worst part of the bike. I searched for it on Google because I couldn't recollect that to be on the real Cinelli's. I couldn't find any laser with that triangle. The rest of the bike is really well done, except for the ugly rear triangle. Ok it's a fake, but it's nearly impossible to own the real one and it is a stunning bike to look at.

Pretty sure everyone was liking that frame before it was painted and in the rat thread…..

I still don't understand why anyone would go through so much trouble to recreate a beautiful bike and don't properly do the rear triangle. I've been thinking about this for hours now and I still can't get my head around it. It's like you are trying to build a 1:1 copy of a Ferrari and use a lawnmower as a starting point. It won't work. The guy obviously knows what he's doing but why skip that part? It makes the whole bike look silly.

there was a genuine on the bay, vendor was in Japan, renovated with a sub 5 figure staring price, ended with no bids I think

I like that rear triangle, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Don't really know why they bothered, but it serves a useful purpose in that it shows they are not trying to fool anyone that they are riding an actual Laser, it's like an open admission of plagiarism rather than a slavish copy and I respect that. It's an interesting touch.

I had a bmx that colour at one stage. IIRC it was rover apple green.

it's a peugeot track frame, so who cares.
if people want to have a frame looking like a laser but with a different rear triangle, who cares???
