That's fractured on a complex cast alloy section, probably someone was trying to cold set it for a larger OLN.
I won't say it's impossible to weld that to repair, but damn near.Nice frame, otherwise, so bumped!

btw 2060 is equivalent to 531. 2070 was 653

Did it not have a transit strut thingy fitted between the rear dropouts?
A cast wishbone rear stay like that would be super vulnerable in the post if left unsecured.
Dynatechs, nice frames though.

Eesh! Sorry to hear that! Were you running a 130mm hub? I hear that's what does it? I just bought some vintage DA hubs to avoid this nightmare.
Nice things these Dyna Tech frames, sadly though this one has a snapped rear stay.
Forgetting the snap for a second, the rest of the frame is in alright condition for its age, a bit tatty here and there (generously called patina in some quarters), but it's not without some decent features, including internal cabe routing on the top tube, an elegant mono-stay, double cage bosses and semi-vertical dropouts.
The 600 is constructed from Reynolds 2060 steel (supposedly equivalent to 653) bonded into alloy lugs. I don't know much about welding, but I imagine with the right know-how and a bit of time the snapped stay could be quite easily repaired.
British threaded BB, all threads in excellent condition. ST is 56 c-c, 58 c-t, TT is 55 c-c.
Was looking for £25. Hopefully that's not deemed too unreasonable...
Collection from Camberwell, or I can deliver within reason. Any questions just ask, cheers.
