Got this through yesterday. Had a chat with her on the phone and it seems like an interesting project.
She's looking for 'articulate people' to talk about their lives in and out of polo. She was interested in diversity of people's backgrounds and what drives them to play. The arc for the feature she was suggesting was to follow a group/team in the lead up to and participation of a tournament.
I think this could be a great opportunity to present a thoughtful and insightful view of polo (esp. after recent events). If there are teams interested please let me know. Ideally I think it would be good to feature a team with at least one woman.
Thoughts?
Dear Birmingham Bike Polo
I am a documentaries producer at BBC Radio and am thinking about making a programme about a group of people connected through bike polo. It is for a series called Lives in a Landscape which has the broad remit of looking at interesting and good talking people with stories around the country. If you are interested just to chat through the idea to see if you think it might work, do get in touch.
