A friend of mine had this exact frame in red (IIRC) It was hideously light! Very high-end frame. GLWS

Cheers D_Mars
It's a lovely frame and as you say, very light - built up with some decent wheels it'd be great! Shame it see it wasted in the shed!

I always get confused with Specialized bikes - what sort of human size does 54cm translate to?
I have a friend looking for a geared bike and yours looks clean.
I take it it has been around the block a few times since most of the original parts have been changed?
Cheers

Yeah I think the frame was pretty well used by the PO – I picked it up as frame only to give road riding a go (again) only to find out (again) that it’s not for me. The actual components haven’t seen much use though, the 105 groupset is in great condition (someone was upgrading to Dura Ace on a CAAD frame I believe), the rear wheel was brand new 200ish miles ago, the brakes have seen about 200 miles as well, headset (cost me a fortune) was new at the same time, contact points were just cheap things to get me going really. Bang some Chinese carbon wheels on and your choice of contacts and it’d be a weapon.
I can have a proper measure of it this weekend but as you say they do come up a little odd, I find it comfortable at 6’1 but my friend who is 5’11 finds it too small for him (he rides a 56 usually). I can’t seem to find a geometry chart online for this specific model.

I put this together with dreams of long rides in the countryside but unfortunately that has fallen flat, the reality being, I rode it to work a dozen times then put it away. So the bike has spent the winter at my mum's house in Bromley so is now up for sale!
