^^ Hmm, thanks. That's pretty much what I'd figured.
I have a very similar clamp on an el cheapo Raleigh supplied freestanding stand at the moment so I know what you mean about trial and error clamp adjustments.
Looking again at the Park website and comparing the spec, the PRS4W2 (the black and blue one) has "Fully Adjustable Clamping Pressure Prevents Damage To Thin-Walled Tubes", the PRS4W1 (the silver one) doesn't.
I think I'd feel safer with the option of adjustable clamp pressure so I don't squish anything. Squishing anything would be BAD.
